Satcoms Industry Workshops

Goals
These workshops introduce interdisciplinary audiences to the satcoms industry with the aim of developing a baseline understanding of how the industry works.
During the workshops the participants learn about the key elements of the satcoms industry, including satcoms markets, costs, frequency selection, spacecraft and launch providers, sales and what satcoms users want, and strategic factors in the satcoms business.
By understanding the satcoms industry, participants become better placed to work inside or with satcoms organisations.
Ultimately, this is about enhancing organisational performance.
NB: These workshops do not cover the technical engineering topics, such as link budgets, signal modulation, network design, etc.

Training Consultancy

My training consultancy helps space businesses to create tailored training programmes, which fit their needs.
My training design utilises a process of thinking at strategic, tactical, and logistical levels.
A well defined strategy is the foundation for tactical decisions, which, in turn, give context for the logistics.
This consultancy applies to training at the domain, sector, and specialisation levels. Here are some examples of what this can look like in practice.
Example applications
Domain level
Investors, who are new to the space sector, want to gain an overview of space activities, the main markets, dependencies, and dynamics.
Sector level
New employees at a satcoms company need to build a baseline understanding of the satcoms sector, the market, the systems, etc.
Specialisation level
A spacecraft operator needs to train new staff and refresh existing staff on nominal and contingency procedures.
